LaRose earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in painting with minors in drawing and jewelry from York College of Pennsylvania in December of 2014. Originally from Westminster, Maryland, LaRose moved to the Pittsburgh area in 2015 in order to work towards her Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, which she achieved in May of 2018. She initially decided to experiment with encaustic in her first year of graduate study, and wax has since become LaRose's primary painting medium.
